Agricultural Production, Seed and Mechanization (APSM) works with private and public sector partners who want to set-up or scale out agricultural operations in Africa and Asia. We provide a series of services that ensure a sustainable and practical business approach that has a positive impact for stakeholders along the value chain.
APSM is a brand of NAPROS 1995 SL, a company involved in agricultural service provision since 1995.
APSM consists of a (growing) group of experts that have over 40 years of experience working across the globe on a wide variety of agricultural development projects such as; setting-up seed production and processing factories and large-scale mechanization projects in Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, China and Brazil.
Due to the on-the-ground experience and practical approach of our experts, APSM is able to quickly navigate the circumstances on the ground and provide tailormade services.
We find it important to be clear and transparent from the start: Only by getting a good understanding of the needs of our partners, can we manage expectations and set realistic and cost effective goals that have a lasting impact.
This generally starts with a series of meetings whereby we encourage partners to put all agenda’s on the table. This requires building a level of trust between stakeholders.
Once we are clear on what needs to be achieved, we tend to start with a feasibility study that includes soil and water testing and land mapping. Depending on the assignment this is often followed with the development of a realistic business plan, investor and finance facilitation and expert acquisition and contracting.
